Bob Jones fell to Baylor 5-4 on Monday on a walk-off single in a game played at Vanderbilt University.  The battle of top ranked teams lived up to the billing with the game going 9-innings before a winner could be determined.  Multiple college signees and commits were on the field for both teams.

The game was tied at four with Baylor batting in the bottom of the ninth when a single on a 1-1 count, scored the winning run from 3rd base.  Bob Jones lost despite out-hitting Baylor 12 to six.

Nick Brown took the loss for Bob Jones as he surrendered three runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six.  Stuart Edge started the game for the Patriots with two runs allowed on two hits over three innings, striking out one.

Bob Jones  collected 12 hits on the day. Colten Carver, Mitchell Daly, John Michael Riley, and Michael Strickland each collected two hits for Bob Jones with each player having a double.  Brett Brosnan, Dylan Ray, Cam Hill, and Tyler Jones pitched in singles in the loss.
