The Patriots jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Alabama commit Braeden Rowe before allowing 3 runs in the bottom of the first. Both teams continued the scoring with the Yellow Jackets leading 8-7 entering the 4th inning. The Patriots then erupted for 7 unanswered runs as John Michael Riley (1-0) shut down the home team with 4 1/3 scoreless innings.
Cam Hill led the offense with 3 hits including his 1st home run of the year in the 1st inning. He finished with 2 RBI, 2 runs, and a SB. Colten Carver, Tyler Jones, and Riley all had 2 hits with a double each. Caden Rose added a solo home run in the 5th inning. Dylan Ray added a 2-RBI double and Slate Alford added 2 RBI on a single and sacrifice fly. Hill, Carver, Riley, Alford, Ray, and Rose all finished with 2 RBI each.
Riley picked up his first win of the year on the mound with 11 Ks with no hits allowed and only 2 walks in 4 1/3 innings pitched. Nick Brown and Luke Tralongo added 2 Ks in each of their innings pitched.
